Christopher Q. Wintter has over 22 years of experience as a practicing attorney and is a recognized expert in Trust and Estate matters by the Florida Bar. Mr. Wintter earned his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law (1987) and earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting with High Honors from the University of Florida (1982). Mr. Wintter holds the prestigious Board Certification by the Florida Bar in Wills, Trusts, and Estates, a credential held by fewer than 350 attorneys out of the more than 87,000 attorneys licensed to practice law in Florida. Mr. Wintter has been Board Certified since 1999. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Wintter was a CPA and maintained his license as a Certified Public Accountant from 1984-2002. Mr. Wintter has a thorough understanding of the legal, tax and financial issues that come into play with complex Trusts and Estates.

           

Mr. Wintter is also an instructor and faculty member for the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA) which is the nation’s leading provider of legal advocacy skills training to practicing attorneys. Mr. Wintter has taught trial advocacy and deposition skills training for NITA for more than 10 years. Mr. Wintter thoroughly endorses NITA’s mission to train lawyers in effective, ethical and professional advocacy. Mr. Wintter strives to maintain the highest legal and ethical standards of his profession.

           

Mr. Wintter is a member of the Florida Bar and has been admitted to practice before all the courts of the State of Florida. Mr. Wintter is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit (1988), the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit (1993), and the United States District Court for the Southern (1988), Middle (1988), and Northern (1993) Districts of Florida. Mr. Wintter is a member of the Florida Bar (1987) (Member Grievance Committee 17H 1993-1995; Vice Chairman, 1994-1995; Chairman, 1995), the Broward County Bar Association, and the South Broward Bar Association (President 1994-1995 and Vice President 1993-1994). Mr. Wintter is a member of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar, the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar, and the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar. Mr. Wintter also serves on the Probate and Trust Litigation Committee of the Florida Bar.
